About Steve Goldstein

A true renaissance man, Steve Goldstein is a New York music scene veteran—coming up during some of the most fertile musical years Steve cut his teeth and earned his chops playing in progressive indie bands for years. Although he graduated with an Arts degree in English, his passion has always been music—and his involvement in some of the most successful and notable acts to come out of New York and beyond is proof of his zeal.

Steve has written songs for, and played guitar in a number of bands who've shared the stage with superstars such as Grammy Award winners Bon Jovi, American Idol alum Katharine McPhee and pop princess Natasha Bedingfield, as well as former Living Colour lead singer Corey Glover and ska quintet The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Steve's long list of musical achievements includes placing in the Billboard Songwriting Contest, performing at South By Southwest Music Conference, taking First Place at the Long Island Music Festival, winning Best Up & Coming Band, and most recently added "producer" to his list of accomplishments. Steve produced the indie band, The Rosies' first EP at Sound Surgeon Studios on Long Island.

In the last few years Steve has branched out and lent his talent and ambition to the YouTube generation; composing and performing music for well known YouTubers such as xgobobeanx aka Jill Hanner, Nalts aka viral video genius Kevin Nalty, and Michael Buckley from the "What The Buck Show", which has become one of the most popular shows on YouTube with over 650,000 subscribers. Most notably Steve is responsible for penning and playing original music for some of Venetian Princess aka Jodie Rivera's most popular videos. In 2008 Rivera was named PC Magazine's No. 1 Female on YouTube Of All Time for her comedic parody videos including "Octomom," "I Kissed a Girl (Elderly Remix)" and "VP's 7 Things Men Don't Have to Do," which was named one of the top ten viral videos of 2008 by PC Magazine. A number of Venetian Princess' most popular videos were composed, performed and recorded in their entirety by Steve (including drums, guitar, bass and keyboards). VP's music video for her original song, "Somewhere Else," which Steve played guitar on, is the default video on all Samsung Behold cell phones. Steve has also created jingles and original music for Fitness Celebrity John Basedow.

Now that he's been on the stage and a part of some of the most innovative videos on the Internet, Steve aims to move forward and refine his talents even further. His new goals include scoring soundtracks, and writing and producing for new artists as well as composing commercial jingles.
